J&J Development, Inc. Custom Homes was established in 1989, but the building experience of Josef Zyskind and John Finch reaches back over 50 years.

J&J’s reputation for quality was built on hard work, first-rate construction standards and outstanding personal service before, during, and after the sale. It is this foundation that makes a J&J home, a true “one of a kind” custom home – designed especially to best suit the buyer and the land on which the home is built.

While the buyer makes the final decision, Joe Zyskind and John Finch are personally involved in the entire development process – down to the detail. J&J personally supervises development and inspects every home not less than twice a day. This allows J&J to maintain the highest level of quality control and responsiveness to the decisions that are made everyday.

Every process and feature is carefully planned – from a roof that reduces long-term maintenance through enhanced ventilation and air circulation, to window locations that take advantage of scenic views, to practical placement of electrical plugs, to the direction a particular door opens.

J&J Development, Inc. Custom Homes are found in San Antonio’s finest neighborhoods like Emerald Forest, Vista Del Norte, Bluffview, Sonterra, Dominion, Deerfield, Oakwell Farms, River Crossing, Oak Shores at Canyon Lake, Trophy Oaks and the Pinnacle in New Braunfels. J&J enjoys building homes in all price ranges on their customer’s lot as well.

Joe Zyskind has been constructing residential, commercial, and multi-family dwellings and completing remodeling projects in the greater San Antonio area since the 1950’s. Joe’s first company, Joe & Inga, Inc. still enjoys and outstanding reputation for excellence and workmanship.

Joe moved from Germany in the early 1950’s to realize a better life for his wife and family. He possesses an uncompromising spirit of integrity that is reflected in every home he has built. Joe dedicates himself to his workforce and suppliers and does not entertain outside bids for the sake of cutting costs and building less of a house.

John Finch started in industrial sales but launched his building career in 1979, working as a superintendent for Joe. To this day, he calls the move a success. He prides himself on his ability to ease much of the confusion and anxiety that is so common in the building industry. John appreciates the importance of communication between the buyer and the builder – particularly when it comes to listening and understanding the buyer’s wants and needs.
